Please keep in mind that Nantucket is one of the country's most popular summer vacation destinations for families and travelers of all ages, so travel and housing reservations should be made well in advance.
Each participant is responsible for their own travel and accommodation expenses.
Getting to the Island
By Ferry
While there are a variety of high-speed passenger ferry options, automobile reservations on the Steamship Authority Ferry need to be booked well in advance:
- Freedom Cruise Line High-speed ferry from Harwich Port, MA
- Hy-Line Cruises High-speed ferry from Hyannis, MA
- Seastreak High-speed ferry from New York City, NY, Highlands, NJ, and New Bedford, MA
- Steamship Authority High-speed and traditional car ferry from Hyannis, MA
By Air (Nantucket Memorial Airport)
If flying is most convenient for you, numerous commercial airlines now provide year-round or seasonal service to the island.
Staying on the Island
We are pleased to offer the following two options for favorably rated rooms during this year's meeting:
Meeting attendees who wish to stay onsite are encouraged to reserve rooms on our room block. We have secured a number of rooms for the nightly rate of $699 (Standard King) or $749 (Double Queen). You can also access the block if making your reservation by phone: simply mention Nantucket Retina and the dates of the meeting when calling 800-321-8484.
Meeting attendees who wish to stay in the heart of Nantucket Town may take advantage of our specially rated room block for the nightly rate of $595. To access this meeting rate, you must make your reservations directly with White Elephant Resorts at 1-844-607-0421 no later than June 1, 2025. Attendees must mention Nantucket Retina Society to receive the discounted rate.
We anticipate the rooms at either location will book quickly once registration opens, so if you plan to join us this July, best to book your room(s) now! In the event there are no rooms left on either block, please be prepared to look into other lodging options, of which there are plenty.
